1. Nendo: Nendo is a Japanese design studio led by Oki Sato. They often incorporate playful and whimsical elements into their furniture designs, blurring the line between functionality and imagination. Their pieces often feature unexpected twists, such as chairs that resemble comic book speech bubbles or cabinets with puzzle-like compartments.

One of the most iconic and creative firms today, the Japanese company Nendo was founded in 2002 by architect Oki Sato. Sato named the company after the Japanese word for “clay”, considering that his job should be as flexible and pliable as clay.
